I've got the blues, I feel so lonely I'll give the world if I could only Make you understand It surely would be grand I'm gonna telephone my baby Ask him won't you please come home 'Cause when you're gone I'm worried all day long Baby won't you please come home Baby won't you please come home I have tried in vain Evermore to call your name When you left you broke my heart That will never make us part Every hour in the day You will hear me say Baby won't you please come home, I mean Baby won't you please come home Baby won't you please come home 'Cause your mama's all alone I have tried in vain Nevermore to call your name When you left you broke my heart That will never make us part Landlord gettin' worse I've got to move May the first Baby won't you please come home, I need money Baby won't you please come home

When Johnny comes marching home again Hurrah! Hurrah! We'll give him a hearty welcome then Hurrah! Hurrah! The men will cheer and the boys will shout The ladies they will all put out And we'll all feel gay When Johnny comes marching home. The old church bell will peal with joy Hurrah! Hurrah! To welcome home our darling boy, Hurrah! Hurrah! The village lads and lassies say With roses they will strew the way, And we'll all feel gay When Johnny comes marching home. Get ready for the Jubilee, Hurrah! Hurrah! We'll give the hero three times three, Hurrah! Hurrah! The laurel wreath is ready now To place upon his loyal brow And we'll all feel gay When Johnny comes marching home. Let love and friendship on that day, Hurrah, hurrah! Their choicest pleasures then display, Hurrah, hurrah! And let each one perform some part, To fill with joy the warrior's heart, And we'll all feel gay When Johnny comes marching home.

about

Elvin Prezby Huntersville, North Carolina

Elvin Prezby is an indie rock band from Charlotte, NC. Raw garage-punk meets the British invasion.

What’s with the name?
In 1980, local filmmaker Earl Owensby starred in & produced a B-movie, “Living Legend: The King of Rock and Roll.” The film loosely tells the story of...you guessed it…Eli Canfield! (Not to be confused with Elvis Presley.) Or as we remembered it, Elvin Prezby.
